Wedding season is here again, although it never truly goes away. I love weddings in the depths of winter for the opportunity to make the most of the dark nights, twinkling lights, hearty food and roaring fires. Similar is the autumn wedding when the nights draw in and there’s an abundance of reds, oranges and all the Autumnal colours. Spring weddings are fresh and full of hope, much like the season itself but there is something special about a summer wedding. When everything comes together and the weather is just right, the summer wedding is a thing of beauty.
As we await the first of the summer weddings in a few weeks, I thought I’d use this opportunity to look back and reassemble some of my old blog posts (lost in the transfer of web hosts). The first wedding I’ve chosen to look at, that of Tamsin & Henry is, in my mind, the epitome of the perfect summer wedding. A beautiful ceremony with family followed by a party with friends that goes on long into the balmy summer night.
Below is a small selection of photographs from the day that I hope convey the laid back atmosphere, when guests basked in the late summer sun and enjoyed good food and entertainment before dancing on into the night.
